Intelligence connected to a decision
We connect internal evidence with the external environment and keep observation distinct from assumption. Every conclusion is then interpreted through the choice it is intended to support. Decision-makers receive intelligence that combines analytical rigour with the relevant commercial or institutional context.
Quantitative analysis provides one part of the picture. Source evaluation establishes how far the evidence can be trusted, while domain research supplies the context needed to interpret it. Models test possible explanations and structured judgement turns the findings into a defensible view. The form of the output reflects the cadence and consequence of the decision. A focused assessment can resolve an immediate question. A maintained intelligence system can instead track signals over time and show when new evidence warrants reconsidering an established view.
Method
How we structure the work
We select analytical methods around the question and available evidence, guided by four consistent principles.
Define
We specify the decision before choosing a method. The relevant population and measures follow from that choice. We then establish the time horizon and a fair basis for comparison. Material uncertainties remain explicit, keeping apparently precise analysis focused on the question it is intended to answer.
Substantiate
We identify the internal and external sources that could inform the question. Each is qualified before conflicting evidence is reconciled and documented. Gaps or bias remain visible in the result. The result also documents material transformations and identifies where judgement was required.
Analyse
We select analytical methods that fit the evidence and the decision. A forecast may be strengthened by spatial or market context, while a scenario may expose conditions that historical statistics cannot represent. Competing models are compared and validated. Sensitivity testing shows which assumptions materially affect the answer.
Maintain
We translate findings into indicators that have a defined relationship to action. Thresholds determine when a review is needed and decision triggers state the expected response. Where analysis continues over time, the process records how the evidence changed and why the conclusion moved with it.

Capabilities within the discipline
We combine these capabilities around the evidence each decision requires. Research establishes the context and modelling tests what may follow. Monitoring keeps that view current, with data science applied where it can materially improve the answer.

We interpret external developments through their practical effect on the organisation. Leading indicators show where conditions may be moving, while policy analysis clarifies the mechanism of change. Scenarios then connect those shifts to markets and operating costs. Leaders can see the implications for current activity and future investment.

We develop forecasts around the question at hand and make their assumptions explicit. Validation establishes how the method performs on available evidence. Uncertainty ranges show what the point estimate cannot, especially when histories are limited or conditions are changing.

We identify groups whose needs and behaviour differ in commercially meaningful ways. The analysis tests whether those differences lead to distinct economics or constraints. It also examines how each group buys, giving product and service decisions a firmer basis.

We examine what each competitor promises and the operating assumptions beneath that promise. Delivery models and economics reveal what the proposition can sustain. Partnerships show where its capabilities extend, while likely responses are interpreted through the competitor’s wider operating system.
